Dear Families,
Your child has been chosen as student of the week. The decision was based on many different factors and the title comes along with many distinguished privileges. For example your child has been our line leader all week each time we go to a specials’ class or to lunch or recess. Your child has also been in charge of leading calendar every day. Additionally, as student of the week, your child gets to take Munchy home for the weekend!
While visiting, consider Munchy part of your family. If your child goes to the movies, or to the park, or to visit grandma, Munchy should, too. When you all sit down to have dinner please allow Munchy to “eat” with you. The students have already been told how Munchy loves invisible food and never takes real baths. If something should happen to him where he gets really dirty and you would like to bathe him, please only wash him while tied up in a pillow case and dry on delicate. We don’t want our friend to fall apart during bath time. It is not necessary to wash Munchy when you have him, as I will keep up on his routinely scheduled washings.
Aside from the fun factor, the most important aspect of having Munchy visit your home is to get your child writing about their adventures together. I have enclosed Munchy’s journal. Please have your child write about their fun times together. Ideally I’d like to see about a half of a page detailing the fun they had. Your child may also draw a picture to go along with it, but please do not allow markers as they will bleed through the pages. Also, to conserve paper I am asking that you use the backs of the paper and also not skip around in the notebook. So the first person should write on page one, the second person on page two; etc.
Congratulations to your child and enjoy Munchy’s visit
